The Regency Parliament Hotel, Dublin

A popular destination for visitors to Dublin, The Regency Parliament Hotel stands minutes away from, without being actually in, the buzz and throb of Temple Bar. With Dublin Castle and the City Hall across the road, and Christchurch Cathedral two minutes away, The Parliament is a perfect place from which to explore Dublin. Trinity college and the shopping in Grafton Street are just five minutes walk away.
The fine Edwardian edifice housing the hotel has been beautifully restored and the sense of Edwardian comfort and decorum has been maintained within. One American I met stayed there and recommends it highly to his friends at home in terms of location and value for money, though he does warn that the rooms in the front are on a busy main city street.
Accommodation
With 63 rooms, The Parliament can off single, double, triple or family rooms and suites. All are en suite with TV, direct dial telephone, hairdryer and trouser press, as well as tea and coffee making facilities.
Food and Drink
The Forum Bar is on the ground floor of the hotel but with a separate entrance from the street. It's a fine pub, popular with locals and residents alike, with two sections: one a traditional styled Dublin bar, the other an airy conservatory. Well-frequented and lively, unlike some hotel bars, it's a fine place to spend your time if you don't want to go too far from your room.
Nearby there are man fine pubs, including The Front Lounge, The Turk's Head, Read's, Brogans and The Porterhouse.
The Senate Restaurant serves good international cuisine from its table d'hote and a la carte menus. The food is also good in The Forum at lunchtime and early evening. Being so close to Temple Bar though, you'll be spoilt for choice both in cuisine and budget.
