The Bridge House, Dublin
starstar

Just yards from Dublin City Hall and Dublin Castle, the Bridge House is a family-run guesthouse in the heart of Temple Bar. Comprising two Georgian townhouses on Parliament Street, it offers clean, comfortable and friendly accommodation ideal for families and small groups as well as the single traveller looking for quality budget accommodation at the heart of the city.

Completely refurbished in 1999, Theresa and her friendly staff will make a point of making you welcome to Dublin one you'll wish to repeat.

Accommodation

The 21 en suite rooms in the Bridge House are all bright and comfortable, with TV and direct-dial telephones.

(One word of warning: since the Bridge House is housed in a listed historic building, it was not possible to install a lift, so you'll have to climb the stairs yourself!)

Facilities

What a four star hotel typically provides in-house, a guesthouse can make up for by its location. Being in Temple Bar, there are many fine restaurants of every description close to the Bridge House, from the pizzeria downstairs and the kebab house opposite to the Tea Room in The Clarence.

Also across the road is the The Porterhouse, the first of Dublin's recent microbreweries and just one of the many good pubs in the area. The nearby Turks Head and Isolde's Tower around the corner cater for the late drinker.
